اردوOn Thursday 15 Sept 2022, Uttar Pradesh Police arrested six rapists named Junaid, Sohail, Arif, Hafiz, Karimuddin, and Chhotu (Gautam) for sexually assaulting minor Dalit Girls and brutally murdering within the Lakhimpur Kheri area of Uttar Pradesh.
The police officer investigating the case said that the accused Junaid was shot in his leg while he attempted to run away all through his arrest. according to the review report, the incident is said to have passed off on Wednesday whilst two accused named Sohail and Junaid dragged the 2 Dalit girls elderly 15 and 17 to the sugarcane area and brutally raped them. The girls have been later murdered and hanged on a tree with their dupattas after they pressured the lads to marry them.

Officer Sanjeev Suman showed the incident and addressed the media to tell them that the deceased have been allegedly friends with the accused. “The Girls came in contact with the accused through Chhotu who was their neighborhood. the lads evolved a friendship with the Girls and took them to the fields on their bikes. There Sohail and Junaid sexually assaulted the girls and murdered them once they insisted on marriage”, the police stated.
The police also said that after the three of them murdered the Girls, they called two other extra guys, Karimuddin and Arif. Now the five men, in a bid to wreck proof, hanged the girls. Finally, the police said that further investigation into the case is underway. 5 accused except Chhotu hailed from Lalpur village, Chhotu was the neighbor of the 2 girls. Accused and booked for IPC 302, 376 & POCSO Act.
